Mr. Walsh is licensed in the State of Texas, the Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas, Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Texas, The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, Louisiana and the United States Supreme Court.
What makes this practice somewhat unique is the fact that this is a Christian Based Practice with a personal touch in which Mr. Walsh offers his clients free initial consultation, willingness to meet clients at times other than normal working hours, house visits for the elderly who cannot get out to a lawyer’s office and a commitment to return all calls as soon as possible.
Mr. Walsh has been successful, along with the Department of Labor, in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in an Employment Law Case in which two employees were offered their jobs back or a large monetary settlement and they chose the money. (CFS North American, Inc. d/b/a/ Convenience Food Systems, Inc. and Anthony Varnes and Quinton Graham, Cases 16-CA-22135-1 and 16-CA-22135-2 respectively, August 1, 2003).
Mr.Walsh has also been successful in the 5th District Dallas Court of Appeals in the matter of Bush v. Green Oaks Operator, CA# 05-98-00686 which was a personal injury case that significantly effected medical malpractice suits in Texas where the client received a money judgment due to the negligence of the Hospital.
Mr. Walsh was lead counsel and successful in a lawsuit filed with the Merit Service Protection Board against the Department of Defense, Defense Security Service in Krape and Smythe v. Department of Defense, Defense Security Service, Docket numbers 0752-00-0149-I-1 and 0752-00-0150-I-1 respectively (co counsel was used at trial). This suit involved the wrongful termination of two Defense Security Service employees. Both employees received large monetary awards.
Mr. Walsh was lead counsel in successfully representing two individuals in the matter of a wrongful death case in which the hospital had an employee that murdered 21 patients. This matter ended up in federal court and Mr. Walsh represented several of the murdered victims on an appeal involving the issue of Sovereign Immunity (James, et al v. Nocona Hospital et al, 7:02-CV-0291F and Vanderburg v. Nocona Hospital et al, 7:03-CV-008-F. This case settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.
Mr. Walsh was lead counsel and successfully represented the mother of an individual who was hung while in prison (Sandy Herrin v. Robert Treon et al, 7:03-CV-0259-R. This case went up on appeal to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals when the Defendant filed a motion for summary judgment on one single issue. The appeal on behalf of the Defendant was denied by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in favor of Mr. Walsh’s clients. The case was then referred to mediation where it was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.
